No. A power of attorney may be granted privately or before a notary (poder notarial), and both can be sworn-translated. Long or complex instruments may require review before the final price is confirmed.

Who certifies the translation?

Accepted Answer

A sworn translator (traductor jurado) appointed by Spain's Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MAEC) certifies the translation. Their appointment number appears on the document.
