What a sworn translator does

A sworn translator produces the translation, certifies that it faithfully reproduces the original, signs it, and takes full professional and legal responsibility for its accuracy. That certification is what turns a plain translation into one an authority will accept.

Only a translator holding a current MAEC appointment can issue this certification for Spain. Fluency, a degree, or an agency stamp is not the same thing.
